1. Eligibility and Account Matching
1.1. To ensure a successful transfer, the beneficiary bank account holder’s name must exactly match the registered name on your GOPAY account.
1.2. Third-party transfers (payments to accounts not owned by the registered user) are strictly prohibited. The beneficiary bank account name must exactly match the name registered to your GOPAY account. Any mismatched requests will be rejected during processing.
1.3. Users are solely responsible for the accuracy of all bank details provided. GOPAY shall not be held liable for any loss of funds or failed transfers resulting from user error.
2. Fees and Transaction Types
2.1. Standard Withdrawal Fee: A service fee of RM 2.00 will be charged for every withdrawal request processed on or before 15 May 2026.
2.2. Spend Recommendation: To avoid the RM 2.00 fee, users are strongly encouraged to spend their remaining balance via the app’s available services (e.g., reloads or bill payments) before service closure.
2.3. International Transfers: Withdrawals to banks outside of Malaysia are subject to a RM 50.00 remittance and agent fee. Users requesting international transfers must maintain a minimum account balance of RM 55.00 to cover these costs. Wallet balances below RM55.00 will not be eligible for international transfers.
Please note that DuitNow transfers are not supported. These requests require manual handling and are subject to additional approval.
3. Processing Timeline
3.1. Upon successful submission of a withdrawal request via the app (on or before 15 May), the processing may take between 2 to 4 weeks.
4. Service Limitations and Deadlines
4.1. The “Reload” and “Top-up” functions will be disabled on 30 April 2026. Users are encouraged to manage and utilize their existing balances before this date.
4.2. After the final closure date of 15 May 2026, the GOPAY application will no longer be accessible for active transactions.
From 16 May 2026 Onwards
All GOPAY user accounts will be automatically terminated or suspended. Users who wish to claim their remaining wallet balance may proceed with a manual request submission, subject to approval.

5. Post-Closure Manual Withdrawals (From 16 May 2026)
5.1. From 16 May 2026 onwards, users must submit a manual claim for their wallet balance via the GOPAY Customer Service Helpline at 017-7353268 or [email protected].
5.2. To process a manual withdrawal, the following mandatory information must be provided:

IV. Beneficiary ID (NRIC or Passport Number) — Note: This must be the same ID provided to the bank during your account registration.

5.3. Scope: Manual withdrawals post-closure are limited to local banks in Malaysia and Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) only.
6. Unclaimed Balances
6.1. Any funds remaining in the wallet after the closure date will be held by the service provider for a period of two (2) years.
6.2. In accordance with Malaysian regulatory requirements, any funds remaining unclaimed after two (2) years will be submitted to the Unclaimed Monies Department (Jabatan Wang Tak Dituntut).
6.3. Once funds are submitted to the government agency, users must prove their identity directly to the relevant authorities to recover their monies.
